Our Mission

Amazing Girl Science seeks to ignite girls’ interest and spark their enthusiasm in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) while building core life skills of self-confidence, self-esteem, curiosity, problem solving and risk taking.

We believe girls can enjoy science, technology, engineering and math. So, we design all our science conferences, summer camps and robotics programs to be interesting and fun.

Our Vision

Reaching girls at an early age before they start making assumptions about what they are ‘good at’ is an important strategy. Otherwise, girls can become discouraged and science becomes “uncool” to them. That’s why our K-12 curricula have a special emphasis on elementary and middle school grades.

With Amazing Girls Science, girls get to try many different STEM experiences without judgment or grading. So, they can explore and discover what they are or are not good at.

Amazing Girls Science environments encourage creativity and curiosity. Our teachers radiate enthusiasm while they create learning experiences that in

Why it Matters

Computing is where the jobs are — and where they will be in the future, but fewer than 1 in 5 computer science graduates are women

In 1995, 37% of computer scientists were women. Today, it’s only 24%. If we do nothing, in ten years the number of women in computing will decrease to just 22%.

Tech jobs are among the fastest growing in the country, yet girls are being left behind. While interest in computer science ebbs over time, the biggest drop off happens between the ages of 13-17

Imagine

Just imagine a young girl who was provided with opportunities to explore STEAM topics one day creating programs to change the world. What problems might she solve? Who might she help or inspire? How might she give back? Although we can accomplish a great deal, we can’t do this without your help.

                                    Here’s how you can help

DONATE HERE!

Yep, we want to make the world a better place! And we’re betting you do, too. If you feel the desire to help us join the movement to increase the number of girls in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) careers, you can go here to make your tax-deductible donation directly to Saturday Academy’s Amazing Girls Science Program!
